SUMMARY OF INTERNATIONAL GUEST PARTICIPATION AT THE 1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON GREEN TRANSFORMATION 2024
The 1st International Conference on Green Transformation 2024, themed “Green Transformation in the Context of Global Change”, was successfully held on October 24–25, 2024, in Hanoi, Vietnam, with the enthusiastic participation of numerous delegates, experts, and scholars from both Vietnam and abroad.
Notably, this year’s conference was honored to welcome 30 international delegates from countries such as the United States, India, Uzbekistan, the Philippines, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, South Korea, and others. These delegates represented renowned universities, research institutes, and international organizations working in the field of green transformation amid climate change.


Throughout the two-day event, international guests made meaningful and valuable contributions through keynote lectures, panel discussions, and thematic sessions. Their presentations offered fresh perspectives and opened new avenues for research and collaboration, significantly enhancing the academic quality and fostering international linkage in areas such as: policy, management, and experience in green transformation; emission reduction and energy transition; disasters, environment, and climate change….

  • Prof. Sadhan Kumar Ghosh from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India with a keynote lecture titled: “Circular Economy in the Global Perspective for the Next Gen”
  • Prof. Rizalinda De Leon from University of the Philippines-Diliman, Philippines with the presentation: “Emission Reduction and Energy Transition: The Race to Net-Zero”
  • Marcos Dominguez Viera from Wageningen Economic Research, Wageningen, the Netherlands with the presentation: “Food System Transformation Trade-offs in Vietnam: A Scenario Simulation Study”
  • Allex Roiman Bustamante from the Fuels, Energy, and Thermal Systems Lab (FETS), Department of Chemical Engineering, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines with the presentation: “Renewable Energy-Powered Methane Production Using LCES in Luzon, Philippines: A Techno-Economic Study”
  • Kakoli Banerjee from Central University of Odisha, India with the presentation: “Marine Phytoplankton as Potential Sink of Carbon: A Case Study from the Western Bay of Bengal, India”
  • Yasuki Shirakawa from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan with the presentation: “Evaluating the Efficacy of Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions through Electric Bus Operation – A Case Study in Hanoi, Vietnam”
  • Obid Tursunov from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, National Research University, Uzbekistan with the presentation: “Effect of Modified BC-ZSM-5 Catalyst on Pyrolysis Products of Cotton Stalks”

 

 
 
The presence and active contributions of international delegates not only played a vital role in the success of the conference but also affirmed the growing international standing of the VNU School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Arts, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, within the global academic and research community.
