On October 24–25, 2024, the VNU School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (VNU-SIS), in collaboration with the Journal of Economics and Environment, successfully hosted the 1st International Conference on Green Transformation under the theme "Green Transformation in the Context of Global Change". The event took place on the 18th floor of the Eurowindow Office Building, No. 2 Ton That Tung Street, Hanoi.
This inaugural conference marked a significant milestone not only in VNU-SIS’s academic calendar but also in Vietnam’s broader discourse on sustainable development. It reaffirmed the School’s position as a national pioneer in interdisciplinary education, with over a decade of experience in climate change studies and sustainability science.

- Over 200 participants, including scholars, policy-makers, researchers, NGOs, and private sector innovators;
- More than 50 academic presentations across eight major thematic areas: green governance, climate resilience, circular economy, energy transition, sustainable agriculture, green finance, environmental education, and clean technologies;
- International keynote speakers from Europe, Asia, and multilateral organizations;
- A unique field trip to Trang An Landscape Complex (UNESCO World Heritage Site), linking scientific discussions with ecological heritage.
